St. Mary's County Business, Education, and Community Alliance (BECA) Awards $1,000 Grant to Leonardtown High School for Passport to the Future Pilot

January 31, 2006: Scott Smith, Principal of Leonardtown High School, receives check for $1,000 from Bob Schaller, BECA President, for successful participation in 1-year pilot of LHS student usage of the Passport to the Future for $2 admission to home athletic events in 2005. Leonardtown High School will continue to offer reduced admission to Passport holders. BECA, St. Mary's County Chamber of Commerce, and St. Mary's County Public School System agree to extend Passport 1-year pilot to Great Mills High School effective February 1, 2006. In 2007 all parties intend to extend the Passport pilot to Chopticon High School.
