Karen Kraus began autocrossing in 1994 with an E Street Prepared Ford Mustang LX 5.0. In the 1995 season, the Mustang was "upgraded" to C Prepared. In early 1996, she ordered the 1996 Camaro Z28 1LE that she presently runs in F Stock. In 1997, she won FSL at the Ayer National Tour and was third at the Evansville National Tour, and running the indexed Ladies Class in ProSolo2, she finished 18th at Petersburg, 22nd at Columbus and 29th at Harrisburg. She was sixth in FSL at the 1997 and 1998 National Solo II Championships in Topeka, Kansas. In 1998, she ran open class FS at National events, and finished 10th at the Jacksonville ProSolo2, 15th at the Harrisburg ProSolo2, 8th at the Rome National Tour, 11th at the Peru ProSolo2, 6th at the Northeast Divisionals, 10th at the Evansville National Tour, and 13th at the Petersburg ProSolo2. 1999 saw a 32nd place finish in FS (open!) at the National Championships, 9th at the Harrisburg ProSolo, 6th at the Peru ProSolo, 9th at the Evansville Tour and 7th at the Wendover ProSolo. Running an ESP Mustang and being bumped to BSP, she finished 6th at the Petersburg ProSolo. Running the Virginia Region NASA's Mid-Atlantic Autocross series, she finished first in FS points for the 1999 and 2000 championships. At National SCCA ProSolo events in 2000, Karen finished 7th at the Fort Myers ProSolo, 9th at the Peru ProSolo and 10th at Petersburg. Also in 2000, Karen campaigned a 1999 Subaru Impreza (owned by Eric Kriemelmeyer) part of the time, finishing first in L1 at the Harrisburg ProSolo and the ProSolo Finale in Topeka. With those two wins, she finished 3rd overall in the L1 points for the year, and with a Ladies Challenge win at Harrisburg and a third place finish in the Ladies Challenge at the Finale, she finished tied for 7th in the Ladies Challenge points. In July 2000, she ran Mark Allen's Atlantic Performance Honda Civic to an 8th place finish in L1 at the Wendover ProSolo and Chris Lindberg's Sapp Performance Ford Mustang Cobra to a 12th place finish in FS at the Peru National Tour.
In 2001, Karen ran a combination of cars in FS, with a single event in L1. Her best events of 2001 included a 6th place finish in FS at the Oscoda ProSolo (running Chris Lindberg's Sapp Performance Ford Bullitt Mustang),  a 4th place finish in L1 at the Wendover ProSolo (running Rick Cone's Toyota Celica GT), and a 25th place finish at the 2001 TireRack Solo2 National Championships (again in Lindberg's Mustang).
In 2002, Karen finally earned trophies in the open classes at national level events. At the 2002 Ft. Myers ProSolo, she attained a fourth place finish in FS, driving her own car. She backed that "wood" up with a third place finish in BSP at the Houston National Tour, where she ran an AS Corvette owned by Chris Ramey. A second place finish at the Peru National Tour (driving Diane Lapusnak's FS Camaro Z28) and first place points in STX (bumped to a second place finish in DSP) at the Wendover ProSolo (driving Gary Gaither's and Billy Brooks's Subarus) were some of the high points for the 2002 season. She finished 13th in FS at the National Championships, codriving Ron Bistrais's 1997 Camaro Z28 1LE.
2003 saw Karen's highest finish yet at the National Championships -- 11th place in FS. She also campaigned in STX, L1 and FS in ProSolos (finishing the season in FS at the season finale), as well as running DSP, STS and ESP at single events. She also ran the Southeast Divisional series, finishing second at the first event and third at the second event, both in FS.
In 2004, Karen finished 8th at the National Championships in FS, codriving Ron Bistrais's 1997 Camaro Z28 1LE. She also campaigned with Billy Brooks in his STS Subaru Impreza in the ProSolo series, trophying at the Topeka ProSolo (3rd) and the Toledo ProSolo (5th, in Corey Ridgick's Subaru). She ran the SEDivisional series in FS, with a second place at the Gainesville event and a win at the Laurens stop.
Karen captured the 2005 Southeast Divisional FS Championship by a mere 0.058 over her codriver, Jerry Grigg, though Jerry took home the final trophy spot in Topeka while driving the Green Terror. Other notable events in 2005 included Karen's first ever Super Challenge appearance at the Wendover ProSolo, after finishing third in DS while codriving with Kevin Youngers, and a second place comeback finish in FS at the Toledo ProSolo, driving the Black Death. She also trophied at the Houston Tour (4th in SM), Atlanta Tour (2nd in SM), and Atlanta ProSolo (2nd in L2, 3rd in Ladies Challenge).

Karen has been awarded the Blue Ridge Region SCCA's Soloist of the Year award (1995) and the Board of Directors' Award (1997). She was also the Autocross Director of the Virginia Region of the National Auto Sport Association (1999-2002), and is an active member of the Mid Atlantic F-Body group.

Karen plans to continue running F Stock open class in the Southeast Divisional series in 2006, and will be codriving the Knowledge Performance Subaru Impreza WRX STi with Joel Fehrman and Tommy Pulliam in L2 for the SCCA ProSolo Series. On occasion, she is known to jump into other Subaru Imprezas and various other cars. She aspires to roadrace an SCCA A Sedan or NASA American Iron Camaro, or possibly do SCCA RallyCross in a "slightly" modified Camaro Z28.

Pat began his autocross career with a C Street Prepared 1992 Sentra SE-R in the March of 1997. After that car's demise, he moved on to a 1993 SE-R, sometimes CSP, sometimes in Street Touring R, in 1998 and 1999. He finished first at the 1999 SCCA NE Divisional Solo II in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and was second to his codriver in overall ProSolo STR points in 1999. He was also eighth in Street Touring at the 1999 Solo II National Championships in Topeka, Kansas and the overall CSP champion in the NASA-VA Mid-Atlantic Autocross Series. In 2000, he finished 8th at both the Ft. Myers and Peru ProSolos and 5th at Petersburg. A temporary deployment to Saudi Arabia limited his autocrossing during the summer of 2000, and he only managed a 17th place at the ProSolo finale and 43rd at the National Championships. He continued to campaign the Camaro in FS, as well as his DSP Sentra SE-R in 2001, earning his first Nationals trophy in DSP (10th) at the TireRack National Championships.

For 2006, Pat plans to autocross in the his Nissan Sentra SE-R in DSP and/or STX, and possibly his 1990 Pontiac Firebird Formula that he has set up for SCCA's ESP class.

An active member of the SE-R and thirdgen f-body mailing lists, Pat is also a member of the Washington DC Region of the SCCA. His favorite drivers include Jacques Villeneuve, Michael Andretti, Rubens Barrichello and Warren Johnson.

Tim Aro began autocrossing in 1994 with a C Stock Toyota MR2. At the end of 1996, he purchased a 1988 Porsche 924S for National level SCCA Solo II and ProSolo2. He was quite successful in the Porsche, taking first place in CS at the Atlanta National Tour, Columbus ProSolo2, and Petersburg ProSolo2, and second at the Harrisburg and Nashville ProSolo2 events. While he was leading CS at the 1997 ProSolo2 Finale after the first heat, he ended up second to Kevin Bailey there, as well as at the 1997 National Solo II Championships. Both championship events were held in Topeka, Kansas.

In 1998, he ran the 1996 Camaro Z28 1LE in F Stock. This was the first time he'd seriously campaigned a V8 car. He finished 4th in FS at the 1998 SCCA Solo II National Championships presented by Tire Rack. He took a vacation from the sport in 1999, but returned in 2000 with a new toy, a 1999 Mazda Miata, in which he finished 2nd in BS at the Solo II National Championships. He also finished 2nd in BS points in ProSolo after having won at the Harrisburg and Petersburg ProSolo events, but only managing 3rd at the Finale. In 2001, however, he took the ProSolo Championship in BS, though only finished 5th at the TireRack National Championships. In 2002, he codrove with Rod McGeorge in a CS Toyota MR2 Spyder, in which he finished 2nd at the National Championships. In 2003, that car was converted to CSP, and Tim again finished 2nd in class at the Championships. He finally defeated his demons in 2004 with a CSP National Championship in the McGeorge Toyota MR2 Spyder.

He will continue instruct with the Evolution Performance Driving school, but also plans to drive Spec Miata, codriving enduros with Donnie Barnes.

Tim is a member of the Washington DC Region of the SCCA.
