Tanyani is the cousin of Bryzarlyn Qi'lanari through their fathers and Nemidia Ge'mardian through their mothers. She grew up around powerful women and wanted to be part of it. She studied with Awnday Ar'iemay's parents. Hastran was soon overwhelmed with Tanyani. Renaya found her mind so fast that she had to give Tanyani more and more work. Tanyani grew restless and asked her parents and teachers to be allowed to see more of the world. They aquiesed with apprehension. She was not ready for the world no matter how strong or how smart she was.

One error in judgement while on an adventure took her life. Her body was left where it fell. Somehow she came back to life, and even she does not know how. Her former companions think she is dead. She is now traveling with a jungle dwarf; Brutina, a half-troll; Aeon, a ranger and elf; and Shilic, a stuttering mage. They triumphed against a hoard of Malarite priests and followers, which included various evil giant races, a lich, and a demon.

They went back to the town where it all began, and her companion, Brutina, decided to set up an adventure's guild. Brutina gave over a few rooms to her companions, so now Tanyani will have a place to stay when in this town. While the inn was being converted to their use, they went out and dealt with a tribe of giants that was attacking caravans.
