History and Background

Drianna grew up knowing she was lovingly adopted. She nor her adoptive parents know who her parents are. She was found on their doorstep one bright, clear morning by her parents' servants. They brought the baby to them, and they fell instantly in love with her. They were not dismayed when they saw that her ears were slightly pointed and her eyes were more almond shaped. She was a dream come true. She grew up in their household knowing only love. Her parents would dismiss any guest or employee who made any snide comments no matter what the hour.

Her parents were moderately wealthy. They gave their child everything she needed and nearly anything she wanted. She had excellent tutors throughout her childhood and into her early adolescence. When she was fourteen her newest tutor was a mage. Her parents built him a tower to live in. Drianna was taught by him everyday. She learned the art of magic and never once thought of it as odd. Her tutor died suddenly one night when she was seventeen. The whole household mourned his loss, but the most devistated was Drianna.

After her mentor died Drianna decided to honor her mentor by leaving for a while and using what he taught her. She was alone most of the time. She did not expect any favors to be given to her. She saw how some of her parents' former employees and friends disliked her for no other reason than her mixed heritage. She knew what to expect in the world outside of her parents' home. When she was twenty-five she received the horrible news. Her parents had been killed in an accident on their property. She rushed home to find that they had already been buried. She would never see them again.

When her grief became managable, she left home again to adventure leaving the butler in charge of the household. She gave him most of the money she had made on the road. Along with the procedes from the light taxes on the farmers, the staff would get paid. She went out and found a group to travel with. Amongst them was her future husband Grass Guard. Torgan the Bold, Azul, and Amatar were also her companions. They traveled extensively through the Realms. They fought tanari in Myth Drannor, dragons of all the chromatic colors, and other great feats. A few years with them tired Drianna. She went home to rest. Grass Guard, a druid and half-elf like herself, went with her. She gave him a place for his sacred grove on her property. He was not always home.

Her retirement did not mean that she was inactive. To the east lived the SilverLeaf Clan, a tribe of elves. She helped them protect themselves. Further east lived the StrongOak Clan which were firbolgs. One of them was Brax, the Warlord of the Clan. During the attack of a green dragon on the SilverLeaf clan, she met Brax. They grew to love each other. She married him soon after. He became co-husband with Grass Guard. Also after the dragon had been dealt with, the SilverLeaf clan invited her to become an honorary member. With her marrage to Brax, she became a member of the StrongOak clan.

She had accumulated a lot of magical items during her travels. She and Aegyn Valchae talked with the leadership of both the Azuthan and Oghmanyte chruches. They quietly supported her idea of a society of people who would collect information on magical items. Drianna did not stop there. The society would also help those people adventuring for the cause of good to get ahead but secretly. The Society of Divded Light was born.

She has built a summer home in Myth Drannor. She goes there when the stresses of normal life get too much for her. She visits Aegyn, the Olara twins, or Hylene Serill whenever she can. She is going further and furhter into the background in regards to the Society. Some of the newest members do not know who is really in charge. She has created three magic items, two for herself and one for Torgan. The Glove of Wands and the Star of Chromatic Dragon Protection are hers, and the Bullete Figurine of Wonderous Power is Torgan's. She then started researching her most powerful magical creation, the Elemental Harness.

One day Torgan showed up at her manor and asked if she would teach him the wizard's craft. She was a little suspicious of his motives but agreed. After he studied with her for a while, they went out to adventure so that he could practice his wizardry. He did well and then decided to drop it. Drianna was accustomed to his mercurial nature so did not take offense. It was at that time that Torgan told her of his wish to become a god.
