Awnday Ar'iemay grew up waking at dawn to work with her mother in the laboratory. She loved the smell of books in the morning, but she could do without the chemicals in there. Her afternoons were spent with her father climbing trees, making locks just to pick them, or for long walks where she would try to hide from him. Renaya Se'iemay loved her daughter, and taught her all she could. Hastran Ar'grenaric loved teaching his daughter the ways of the rogue. She was a delight to both parents. Awnday was clumsy at first in the professions of both of her parents, but was a very quick study. The first time she fell while climbing her father quickly helped her up, but he told her that she would not always have someone around her to help her back on her feet. She took that information to heart. The first time a spell fizzled on her, her mother patiently explained what Awnday did wrong but told her that in the future Awnday would have to come up with explanations for her own failures in spellcasting.
Awnday did not grow up solely under her parents' watchful eyes. She did have friends within her tribe that she played with as a child, sparred with as an adolescent, and studied with in the quiet moments. Two of her closer friends are Bryzarlyn Qi'lanari and Matea Fi'nashari. Bryzarlyn was always getting into trouble, and Matea had a hard time controlling her hot temper.
After some time Awnday decided that it was time to leave the safety of the tribe and learn about the world she lived in. She started out alone and slowly found others to travel with, but those relationships turned out to be temporary things. After a while of traveling on her own, she went home to visit her parents. She was a little older and wiser, and when she went to leave, she took Matea and Visilma Do'ranicy with her. It was fun taking these two along. Having them around reminded her of home, and gave them the excuse to come home more often.
Later on their little party of three grew to six. Carri Notha joined them first, and then Faerinna Escar. Those two were at each other's throats half the time. Carri would berate Faerinna for her attitude about laws. That made traveling interesting. They then stumbled across Amori Tamdenar. She always had a haunted look in her eyes, and whenever they came into contact with orcs, Amori would go off. In the end they let Niona Kilson into their little group.
The group was unique in that they were all women, mostly elves, except for Niona, the human, and Carri, the half-elf. All of them had some spellcasting ability, and all but Niona could pick a lock. Some of them knew their way with a sword. Niona was considered their good luck charm. They were not always together. They separated on their own quests every now and then.
