Amelda was raised on a farm. Her parents were both druids who venterated Chauntea. They own the largest farm in the area. Her two brothers dutifully followed the path that their parents had set for them, one of them became a Chauntean druid. The other brother is a farmer. She knows how to plow a field and keep crops from dying, but she did not find farming stimulating enough for her mind. She experiemted with her psionic gifts. She soon found that she could control her mind in such a way as to make things happen. This surprised her. Soon she learned to make things explode or just disappear. Her parents frowned on her activites. Since she was doing her work, they did not say anything other than the occassional plea to join the church. Amelda would just shrug even though she was a believer in Chauntea's works.
The last plea started an arguement. She was outnumbered three to one with one brother not taking sides. Before she lost her temper, she marched up to her room, packed her bags, and left that night. She regrets that she did not say a more meaningful good-bye to her family, but she had to get out of there.
She met up with a group of women who were going from one job to the next. She thought it would be great fun. She proved herself to them, and Awnday Ar'iemay, the leader, allowed her to join. The others in the group did not understand what she did, but they seemed to be impressed, and some were interested in studying her power.
She is still with them seeking her fortune and a small place to call her own.
